![]() Evan Phipps, a high school research intern, presented his final presentation during the SHARE Lab meeting. For past two months, Evan participated in many research projects and activities, including BioPak (biosensing system) setup, operating the FLAIM simulator, observing data collection. Evan said his future goal is to become an aerospace engineer and his research experience would help him reach the goal. Well done, Evan! SHARE Lab members had a social night. Corey and Jessica joined the event while they are visiting Lubbock for a summer course. Lab members enjoyed foods, drinks, and board games.
SHARE Lab members enjoyed the end of Spring 2023 semester. Some of the lab members leave for a full-time job after graduation and others also leave for summer internship.
Dr. Rob Grace, an assistant professor in the Department of English (Tech Communication) visited SHARE Lab. Dr. Grace is an expert of technical communication in the context of emergency and disaster response. His main focus includes Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP)'s communication aided by various technologies. Dr. Grace tried out our FLAIM simulator.
Austin presented his research on novice user's cognitive challenges with EHR systems using a hierarchical task analysis (HTA). This was his first in-person presentation in HFES International Symposium on Human Factors and Ergonomics in Health Care. The conference was held in Loew's Sapphire Falls Resort at Orlando, Florida. Great job, Austin!
